Hi all,
New to the forums and wanted to post my problem. Forgive me if it has been posted many times by other people.
Recently got an Zperia XA for Christmas and was working fine before I noticed battery drain and overheating so I looked through forums and saw that a factory reset might sort this problem.
I then went to Xperia companion and chose to software repair my phone to see if this would fix the issue. While doing this this morning, the companion threw up an error EU_2005 and when i try to restart my phone it just goes iunto boot loops. I think this may have something to do with flashing as when i try to connect my phone to the laptop, it does not recognise it now.
After speaking with the Sony chat they have said to send it for repair but I was wondering if anyone else knew any other solutions.
So far i have tried powering the phone on with the volume button up, and also waiting for the three beeps and nothing so far.
Would be most grateful for some Help

Hi @DavidCullen, so sorry to hear that.
My recommendation would be to try performing the software repair using Xperia Companion again, as it seems software related since the previous repair rendered an error. Could you start anew by first uninstalling Xperia Companion, download and install it again and then try performing the repair? The device needs to be turned off for this, so first force a shutdown by pressing and holding the power- and volume up button simultaneously until it vibrates 3 times.
I found another forum user which managed to resolve this by performing similar steps, here's his post:

Also, try removing any SIM- and SD cards prior to repairing again.
Let me know how it went!

Happy to hear that you managed to get it running!
Feel free to find an appropriate thread (or create a new one if there's no relevant) for the other behaviour and we can have a look at it too!
