If you select a headphone optimization profile, the profile selected will inherit parameters from the previously selected profile.
In other words, selecting between profiles will cause all sorts of EQ anomalies, comb filtering, distortion, and echo. If you're lucky, setting the profile to "General" will defeat all filtering and return the sound to normal.
It is not supposed to be that way.
