Light throw body and charging port

Hey guys,

As I've bought my z3 dual it had defect. A light through phone body and charging port. Now I kinda worried about waterproof, aswell it looks... As really poor quality of assembly. Hopefully there's something wrong just with my phone.

Anyone had such defect? Its a reason for replacement or normal?!

I don't seem to understand the problem, are you saying that when you open the usb cover you can seethe led notification light if charging? That's normal

Try to check out the pictures in my first message, its explains everything. Anyways, managed to found this thread /t5/Xperia-Z3-Z3-Dual/a-light-throw-the-charging-port/td-p/864057 A guy had a light coming from charging port and phone had been replaced.

But it's not really important for me cause when it's sealed everything looks to be okay. The thing is, light is coming between front panel and corner of the phone, from the gap. It looks pretty bad when it's light up.

For your peace of mind it would probably be best to either take it back to where you purchased it or to contact your local Xperia Care Centre.......let them know of your concerns especiallly the waterproof capabilities :smileysmileywink:

Light from Port is normal.
From corner with led notification is not normal.

Yeah, message is sent.  Can you tell me, your phone haven't such defect? So light coming from microSD port is normal/not?

You should probably contact sony or return the device to the place of purchase. It looked liked the screen isnt properly connected. I might be wrong but thats how it looks like. The light from USB is normall.

So I contacted local Sony service center . For some reason, representative told me they never replace defective phones but only repair them. I'm so disappointed, as after "repairs" things usually gets worse.

Well, thats my first Sony product I've ever purchased and looks like the last, with such attitude. 😕

what i can see is that light leaking out from port is it when flap is open? if so then it shouldn't be a problem since flaps has this tighten ring around it's inside part of flap that should keep water outside from port when you put it in water.
