MHL to HDMI problem

I am having trouble getting this to work i plug it all in correctl. It charges but it doesn't mirror my screen on my tv. What is the problem?

Ps i have tried restarting my phone once it's all been connected and still nothing.

Is you cable a cheap knock off and have you checked that your Tv is in HDMI mode

It's not cheap and i have worked it out guys.

Firstly connect the cable as you would and put the tv on the right chanel.

Next you need to reset your phone

When it comes on unlock the phone if still you have no picture dial *#*#7378423#*#* then click on service test, go all the way to the bottom and click on tv out put Change display to the boteam one and there you go.
