Hey guys and gals, today got a SE C902 and it was great until i tried to phone a friend. I could hear them talking, but they couldn't hear me speaking at all. I assumed this was the microphone, and started a voice record. Even with the volume at full, I could hear my recording but extremely quietly, I had to put my ear right against the loudspeaker to hear it. I then tried a video record to double-check the microphone was malfunctioning. I spoke to the video recording, and whaddaya know, it comes through louder than ever!! I then tried my friend again, and failing to be heard once more, I switched to speakerphone as a last resort. It worked, but I don't really want to have my phone on loudspeaker all the time when I want to have a private conversation. Help needed please???
Please guys i really need your help
Try updating your phone through Sony Ericsson Update Service and see if this helps.
thank you, i will try this later tonight. Oh and people tell me there is an option to test the mic, and that there is two mics. Could you try and explain the details of this setup at all? Sorry if I am just confusing you. Once again, thanks much.
As far as im aware there is only one microphone. To test the microphone on the standby page of your phone press star right star left left star left star then navigate to service tests and scroll down to microphone.

Thanks. Do you have any idea what could be causing the problem and/or any quick fixes as I don't currently have access to a USB cable.
And the mic test was successful.
I just think its the speaker itself that has gone.
Yes, but other people can't hear me either, and all their speakers can't have gone.
Hello,
did you ever get the mic problem fixed?
i have exactly the same problem here.
Please advise the solution.
Thanks
