pc companion no longer shows backup and restore

used pc companion for several years and had a number of backups stored, but just updated the version of pc companion on the pc and its no longer showing the backup/restore tool.

how can i get this back?

Can you see the other options in PC Companion like "Support zone" and "Media Go" or are they missing as well?

I have the same issue.  Where is the back up and restore function on PC Companion????  Yes, other options are visible - Support Zone, Xperia Transfer, Media Go, Contacts, Calendar, and Files Manager are the only options showing and I can't find anywhere to restore my contacts that I supposedly backed up when I did a software update.

Reinstall PCC and it has to appear.

I have seen this before and the below steps will generally sort it.

1. Disconnect the phone from your PC.
2. Reboot your PC.
3. Launch PC Companion without the phone connected.
4. Connect the phone with your PC using the USB cable.
5. Close PC Companion.
6. Open PC Companion again. Now, the phone is connected and the options should appear.

I'm also having this problem with my Miro. When I installed the PC Companion from the web, I didn't have media go, but when I plugged in the device, it popped up. I still don't have back up and restore though, and I don't know if I am missing any more tools.

Any help would be appreciated. Restarting both the phone and PC and opening and closing PCComapnion has had no effect.

I'm not sure the Backup and restore featrure via PCC is available for the Miro as the Tipo also does not have this feature, As far as I'm aware this is because you can backup your phone to your SD card then transfer to your Pc or laptop and to restore the process is reversed
