Are you saying that the phone does charge when its connected to the dock but when you use your phone it discharge fast? if so, that's not the Dock, its all about the apps you have running in the background, how much time you have the screen on, how many apps/services are you syncing, how many games are you playing, how good/bad is your network coverage, etc.

charge your phone 100% > restart your phone > make sure that its still at 100% > if not let it charge a little longer > once it reaches 100% > use your phone as you normally would, once it reach 50% go to

settings > power management > battery > check the graph, also check the top 4 items on the list, check the percentage and the amount of hours and minutes and post all that info here.

I'd suggest a system repair to rule out software issues then if that fails it's either the dock or an internal hardware fault

Performing a system repair using PC Companion will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

and as said if that fails then I'm sorry to hear this but you would need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
