Ringer/Notification alerts

Hi,

I've had my x10 for two days, and it is very lovely indeed!

One things that I'm struggling with.  On previous phones I've had it's been possible to customise whether you want your phone to ring/vibrate for numerous combinations of alerts.  What I'd like to do for when I'm at work is have my SMS notifications as vibration only (no sound) and my Incoming Calls as ringing...  Is there a way to do this?

Well, go into your Messaging app (the stock one), press the Menu button, select Settings, and then scroll down to Notifications. Select that you want notifications for SMS and then select Vibration and if it shows a default for Notification Sound, just select that as Silent. This should solve your problem for SMS. As for calls, basically it will ring and only ring, unless you tell it to vibrate. If it vibrates while ringing for calls, go to the Settings app and select Sounds and Display, then uncheck the Phone Vibrate box right under Phone Ringtone. Hope this helps!!
