Root or No Root

Hi guys, I'm having a few problems with my phone it's just too SLOW, I tried everything like moving apps removing apps.. My memory is just low. Will rooting my phone help??

Rooting its not going to make your phone faster, have you considered a custom ROM?

Okay thanks, now what does root actually do then?

Grant you access to uninstall preloaded apps, overclock the CPU, etc
