SD Card wont mount after new update

My 64gb sd card used to work this morning, but after I updated to 23.0.1.A.77 the sd card wont mount. The phone wont give the damaged card error either,so I can't format it. Also I cant see the sd card when I connect the phone with the usb cable.

Please some one help.

Strange, can you download a low level format tool and try to format like that using your computer?

What if you test the card on another phone or computer?

I've tried on a friends phone and it works fine.

The odd thing is that after i tried on my friends device and reinserted to my phone the card work for a time being. But after a while it was unmounted again and having the same problem. The card wont mount. When I tap mount SD card in the storage option I get the notification 'preparing the sd card' but noting happens.

This is reall frustrating.

You may need to perform a software repair using PC companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).
