Sony Xperia C6603 not working - constant reboot cycle
Hi all,
I got a Sony Xperia Z C6603 recently (roughly 4 weeks ago) and it seems to no longer work.
It ran out of battery over night so I plugged it into the wall socket to charge and the touch screen was unresponsive and it kept rebooting after switching on for a few seconds. I decided to leave it on charge for a few hours and at that point the touch screen was working again - however it was still rebooting after starting up after a few seconds.
I tried to repair it through the PC Companion however I'm met with a no software available message - have tried this on several computers on different networks, same deal.
I've e-mailed Sony's support, and was met with a response a few days later with instructions on how to repair through the PC companion (despite stating in my message I've tried that and it doesn't work!), so they haven't been much help and haven't responded since.
I did notice the phone was heating up some amount over use through the last few weeks when not plugged in, and the heat wasn't coming from the battery, it was heating up so much that the back panel was starting to unglue itself which seems bizarre for a phone only a few weeks old so I'm thinking it might be hardware related - though not sure and Sony aren't being much help directly.
Any advice or anyone had anything similar?
Thanks

What if you remove the SIM and SD cards then check if you experience the same issue. While using PCC, it doesn't allow you to reinstall the current update?
Have you unlocked the bootloader?
Have you install a custom ROM?
Have you rooted your phone?

You could also boot on safe mode (without the SIM and SD cards)

If that doesn't work, don't email your local Xperia Care but try to stop by or call them

Aye I've tried that as well, still crashes. And nope, don't have any custom ROMs on it.
Will try and give Sony a phonecall tomorrow and hopefully get somewhere with it!

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone - Reading your post you didn't try a system repair, you tried a system update
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
