Hello everyone. I have a very simple situation, maybe someone can help with advice. In November 2014 bought a smartphone Sony experia z.(C6602). 27.02. master reinstall the system on the computer and leaving took two phone. Noticed only in the morning. Using police found one. Where Sony and have not been established. I asked, a statement about the theft I took. Spared the grief-master. Learned today that these smartphones have chips on which it can be tracked. Tried independently search for, but they gave me the information Service of my Xperia is not enabled for this device. I'm not a very advanced user and this time I missed. Can someone advice me how to act. And if I have a chance to find your phone? Our law enforcement agencies are reluctant to seek the phones if they are not associated with serious crimes. Through support by IMEI. Thank you in advance for your support.
Sony can't help you to search by IMEI,sorry. The only chance is by mobile data/wifi and location. Sorry, you should try with your local police.
Thus, if the new illegal owner of my smartphone connect my Xperia I still can't see his location? The only option is only through the police and unchanged IMEI?
If the new owner has the phone on, data or wifi on, gps on, and your Gmail account is still on the phone, then you should be able to find it with either MyXperia or Android Device manager, other than that, you won't be able to. I'm sorry for your lost.
But what uli said is hard to believe, usually people that find a phone will reset it first.
Well, what are we going to find other legal ways of justice. Thank you for your attention and support!
I hope you manage to find it,keep us updated if that's ok with you.
If your Antivirus was set up with anti theft activated then a factory would fail without a pin been entered and if you had set up an alternative number then that number can send commands to silently turn on GPS etc for tracking even if the Sim has been removed
