Water Damage Warranty

I was taking a bath, and was using my xperia compact Z3 when the corner of it was immersed in water, and the phone got water damaged. the screen went black and it will not turn on, however it will flash red when plugged into a power source. The flaps were firmly shut, however I beleive the cause of the damage was that the back was replaced a few months ago, by a local phone repair store as it had smashed. I did not realise that this would mean the phones water proof qualities would have been compromised.

So, my question is, is the warranty on this sill valid as the back has been replaced, or am i going to have to buy a new phone?

Also, as a side question, does anyone know how to recover the photos from the phone? So far the computer is not recognising the device.

Sorry to hear this but with regards to warranty you would need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Do you know anything about the pictures?

Sorry to say but if the device won't switch on and is not been read by your Pc then any info on your device will most likely be lost

So, i dropped my phone in salt water recently, and due to the back being replaced it was damaged and the salt water entered the phone. luckily at the moment everything on the phone works except the display itself, which i will be fixing at a later date.

I have seen that the fix for salt water it to immerse the phone in clean water to get the salt water out.
assuming i do not turn the phone on again untill it is dry i was wondering if this is safe to do, or if this model has anything inside it that can be damaged by water without electricity running through it?

If anyone has any ideas that would be appriciated

I am not worried about warranties as i have already voided mine by replacing the back and do not have the money to get a professional fix it for me
