Id nokia hadnt kept on updating their N97 and N5800 to give it kinetic scrolling etc, Satio users would be happy enough as we wounldnt have known any better, awh well what you going do?

I will jump to android when SE bring out an Android phone with a Xenon flash.

i don't know... my hope is that sony ericsson is doing something for us... i don't have money to change this phone... i've worked hard and make a lot sacrifice to buy Satio... when i buy it i was sure that SE will help us with software upgrades... I like this phone i don't wonna leave it

The phone has promise, it has the potential, it is just lacking in support from SE.  The fact they have taken it down probably means they have given up trying to polish this turd.  I'm gonna move to the iPhone 4 if T-Mobile decide to ever release their tariff details!

same here. i thought this phone was going to blow all other phones out the water. it actually has potential to be better than the iphone but it needs some things fixed. i hope the announcement disappearing means they are working on it or releasing it. i am sure they have received a lot of complaints by now. i know they received one from me.

Think its worse that the post is gone, as it implies that there wont be any further development of the Satio.

If you think about it, why should it be removed if SE are working on the next firmware? as its removed, SE can stand by their line saying that we "support" the phone for two years after its realised (by doing nothing)

im just trying to be positive as i really like this phone and it has potential of being the best if SE would actually update it regularly

I remember when I bought my phone P1i that I would have two years of support with updates and more, but in two years I only had two firmware updates.

The same thing will happen to Satio we already had two firmware updates and probably another one in the next two months. From this time they will give more importance to the new Symbian 3 or Symbian 4 for a new range of phones.

The number of handsets of Sonyericsson in the market looks like they are dropping fast, this because they don't follow what the masses want they're primary goals is dealing with Corporates which they sell huge number of handsets.

So guys start to fill up your pockets for a new phone in the Christmas period.

as i always hear people say things like"satio has so much potential", "superb piece of hardware" and so on, i have to say in my opinion the satio has/is nothing than overprized!

the camera isn't that good, the xenon flash too, the housing has lost it's colour after almost a year in use, the firmware is still terrible, there's no support from s///... i'm completely dissappointet with my satio. i bought it to replace my nokia 5800 (because i was unhappy with 5800's bad build- and cameraquality) and i used my satio exactly until the day, when nokia firmware editor was published.

since that day i prefer my 5800 over that crapy satio, shame on you s///! as i like symbianOS, i will get a n8 and sell my satio...
