X10 mini voice memo

how do I find the voice memo on the X10mini ? (  the user quide pdf won't download properly at the moment )

Oh dear ... does this mean that there is no voice memo on the mini ??

I can't find a copy of the manual for the phone online, but various reviews I've read when trying to find it for you all suggest that the phone does have a voice recorder, but that Google voice search isn't available everywhere.  Is there no manual built in to the phone?  On the X10, it is found in the applications section and is called 'User Guide'.

Thanks for the reply .... nice to know there is someone out there ! ... However I have checked the inbuilt user guide till I'm blue in the face and I can't find the voice  memo ...

How do you get to it on the X10 ?

The good news is that I have found the manual for you.  Hope the link works!

The bad news is that I can't dind any mention in it of the voice memo function.  But have a look and see what you can find...

Thanks again... but the link just produces a set of blank pages...  Not  my day I think !

I'll try and contact SonyE support and see if they have any ideas.. it seems crazy to market a phone without such a basic function.

I'll  post any useful reply I get.

The 10 doesn't have the function, as far as I can tell.  I hadn't thought about it till I saw your message.

If you have access to the Android market on your phone, search for voice recorder.  I just tried it and quite a few different apps show up, many of them free.  I can't recommend one, as I have never tried them, but there should be one that suits you.

Oh, seen your latest message now.  I went to www.sonyericsson.com, looked for the X10 mini and opened the manual from there.  The clicky works on my computer, but that's not much use to you, of course,

Hi ...

          I've sorted it at last ... as you suggested the only way is to download an app..  This took

me days as reception is v. intermittent where I live ( one reason I didn't want to use the internet )

I went to the market icon.. and then had to register with Google... and then to search for an app.

I tried one free one .. and then went for the digital tape recorder ( bit of a contradiction in terms ... ? )

I had to  pay a bit for this, and annoyingly had to give my credit card details etc..   I prefer to stick

to my iMac when it comes to this sort of thing for security reasons... but as the X10 mini is sold

Without a voice recorder I had no choice.
