My xperia miro keeps on restarting every 5 minutes! what is the problem? what should i do? and i wasnt able to see my photos and audio saved on my external storage but when i am viewing them at astro file manager all files were still there! am using this phone 6 months after i purchased it!
Have you tried to remove the memory card and see if problem still there?
Check if you have certain apps installed such as: Battery saver-app, Task manager, Task killer-app, Anti-Virus-app.
Uninstall those apps and see if the problem is solved
If problem still exists I recommend you to repair the phone software via Sony PC Companion:
Click on this link to get Sony PC companion:
http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
Start PC companion, start "Support Zone", start "Update phone software" and click on "Repair".
Follow the on-screen instructions.
ive already repaired it using pc companion.. Thanks
another question is , do anti virus is not applicable to install?
My experia miro is also restarting but so fast that i can't even connect to Pc companion that fast! It doesnt have time to detect phone. So I can't go in factory setting, and PC companion also.
I dont have any of task manager, task killer, anti virus application. Only was on battery saver from xperia miro. I already had this problem and took my phone on repair, and they said that the problem was softwer,so they put new softwer, and everything was ok,till now. It was slower and slower, and I think that the last problem for phone was a Skype update!
Please help me,cuz I can't use my phone at all, becouse of restarting!
There are so many people with this problem, and none of the solution. I have the self restarting problem and restarting during calls... Is there any solution? Because none of these didnt help. No app killer, no bat saver, no sd card an so on... Phone repair and update with pc companion... And nothing. The biggest question is: I saw on the internet update 11.0.A.5.8 is this official or not because i found only branded??? Thank you.
I also have the same problem with my Miro and have been trying to work out what causes it and if there is a remedy.
The problem appears to be that the processor is underpowered so cannot cope. The rebooting happens mainly when making normal voice calls but if speaker is selected then it is OK. This didn't make much sense why this cured the problem but I also found that by turning off data (so effectively becoming a 2G phone) this also cured the problem and calls could be made without having to use the speaker. In a strong 3G/H signal area the problem wasn't so bad. So although I haven;t found a cure at least I have found 2 ways of making the phone useable again. It would obviously be nice if Sony put their hands up and admitted there was a problem and suggested a solution
yes i agree with you this is realy problem with this phone put i think it will be with the sensor of call and the comuniction with prossersor . sony should be solve this problem ian i know some pepole go to cilent service and give his phone to them to repeair this problem put no thing and give it to the second time and no thing happen too.i think sony not have solution for this problem please till me what the solution.
i had the same problem but i factory reset my phone and no problems since
You will probably find that this is only a temporary fix. By doing a factory reset this would have deleted any additional apps and settings so now the processor is not being overworked and the phone should not rest itself.
The bottom line is that the processor is inadequate and that there isn't really a fix. If there was surely Sony would have come up with a workable solution
hello,
I get exactly the same annoying and recurrent problem! not acceptable at all the MIRO device cannot deliver on the basics : to be able to give/receive phone calls !! The contact center asked me to test different scenarios : firmware updates, removing sim card, removing sd card... the problem still occurs at the same frequency (2 out of 3 calls) - the only workaround I found was to turn on the speaker during calls - when using bluetooth car kit, also no problem
=> no the cause is hardware related
now my phone is being repaired by the 'after sales' dept - I hope they will find a real solution... otherwise this will be my first and last Sony smartphone - I would have to do like most of my friends, buy a Samsung... I hope not...
