I recently got a gift of an xperia Z2, which i've so much been looking forward to.
after updating the phone to kitkat 4.4.4
the very next day, the phone goes off. i left it to charge overnight, of which it only showed a little lightening bolt, with an empty battery which blinks about the same time as red light that shows when the phone is plugged to the charger up till the next morning when i woke up
And all attempts at switching on as failed. as i have tried holding down the power button at the same time as the volume down button and also tried the little red button next to the Sim slot. the phone doesn't vibrate or switch on
feeling so bad that i haven't made a single call on this phone
any clues on what could be wrong please
need your kind suggestions
Connect the phone to a wall charger > not a computer nor through a Dock > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2 to 3 hours > then press and hold power & volume up until the phone vibrate or open the SIM card cover and press the red button

Hi there aviatorX320,
Wondering where you are located and what Repair center you went to. I've had my Z2 since August and this just happened to me yesterday afternoon as well. I had 20% ish battery level at around 2:00pm and by 3:30pm the screen was blank and would not turn on. I have had it plugged into the wall charger since 4:30pm when I got home and this morning still nothing but a red flashing light.
