Z3C apps randomly stop working, phone restarts by itself

Hi,

I'm having quite some trouble with my Xperia Compact Z3 (D5803).

- It restarts by itself (not touching anything, it's next to me and suddenly I see it's restarting)
- About all apps freeze and display "this app has stopped working" message (google apps, sony apps... about everything) at some point, when I use the phone.

- I did a reset (from the phone) and hard reset (with PC companion), with no result : in fact, after the reset with PC companion, first thing shown is a message saying that hangouts has stopped working Slightly_frowning_Face

- It all started quite suddenly, there was no change or damage on the phone that could have provoked this.

 Any ideas ?

Have you restored some apps after the repair?

Boot on safe mode and see if you experience the same issue?

How to boot on safe mode.

@Phy not sure safe mode helps if he hadn't restored anything.

Remove the sim and sd cards and try to use your phone without them for couple hours, if the phone doesn't restart then you know the issue

When you repair with PC companion,do not install anything after. Keep the device clean for some days,no task killers,no antivirus.

Thanks for all the tips.

I tried exactly that, keeping it as "pure" (if we can call that with all the sony bloatware...) as possible, but actually just after resetting the problems are still present, even before installing any new apps.

Same goes with safe mode...

I'm afraid it can only be a hardware problem...

I'm wondering if it might be the SIM card which I hand-cutted to fit the nano-sim format, I will try with a "normal" nanosim for a few days and see if it solves the problem...
