When I try and charge my phone I have issues with it stop charging when the screen goes off and having to wiggle my charging chord to keep it charged. I've switched my type C charging chord 3 times anyone else experience this? Is it y charging port or a deeper issue with my phone?
If you tried 3 different cables and you still have the same issue, I'd suspect a problem in the USB-C port. It would be a good practice if you contact your Local support and discuss the issue with them, maybe ask for a service appointment.
I have never had any issues with any previous sonys I have had but have had a problem with the xz2s charge port it's very intermittent. Have purchased official Sony usb type-c cables and it is very temperamental. Sometimes it will charge others it will charge for a bit stop charging and I have to unplug the cable and plug it back in. Then it will charge happily for another 5/10 minutes and sometimes without touching the phone it will stop charging until I remove and plug the cable back in. This over many months will cause further Ware and tare to the port. I am just wondering if the charge port is a common fault here or if I should try take it back. I have only had this phone for 6 months it started doing this after 3 months of having the device and now I'm wondering if the charge port was stress tested enough. Most manufacturers will test their devices to the extreme before they are launched but the charge port on the xz2 feels like it is a common fault. Apart from this issue I love the phone and is by far the best Sony phone I have owned.
