Touch screen insensitive after latest update

Hello there, 

I am using a Xperia 10 plus. 

Just updated to the latest xperia version 3 to 4 days ago, the touch screen has been insensitive or oversensitive, and sometimes with delay...... Personal settings, apps, and the physical screen protector kept the same before and after the update. But the issue only happened after the update......

Anyone got some sort of solution?

I am having the same problem. But mines actually started before the latest update. It is magnified after the update, I can say that. 

When I first bought this phone a few months ago. It would do this just randomly so I thought maybe it was a fluke or my screen protector and case was interfering. I took the case off and it seemed to solve it, so thought. Nope problem came back with same random interruption of use. Then the update! I was hopeful it would solve the problem but it just made it worst. 

Hopefully there's a fix for this. I really want to like this phone, but it's not looking so good right now.

There is no fix for this. This is the compromise for Sony to use side sense. If you face this try remove the case because the static from the sides of the case will screw up your inputs causing it to overload then delay. Sony has to increase the sensitivity because the side sense on the 10 series.

Side sense is just an app and it only uses the screen area to activate via a bar. It does not actually sense the sides of the device. I don't know about other Xperia devices, but it certainly doesn't on this phone as the hardware to do so is not included.

The cause of the issue is poor software. Unfortunately even if you don't install Side Sense the problem continues because of a ropey OS. God I miss Windows Mobile.

Many people regret it that Windows mobile has terminated.

Imo it was and is the most simple and logical OS for phones.
