I am not getting definition and picture quality I expected from Sony SAL 70-200. Example attached taken 1/640 f5 100 iso On Ilce 6000
Thanks, I'll try that I thought the L setting was for best resolution.
regards Ian
I already had the setting on Large 24, Fine, Not sure what else to try other than faster speed?
Another example uncropped taken 1/800 F7.1 iSO 800 L 6000x4000 Fine, I think it is a focus problem
Why f/7??? Please use the 200mm Lens with f/4.
And you are still to far away from the bird. It is not a focus problem.
Is there a Zoo in your city? Go to the Zoo and test the Lens on objects they are closer to you. It is not possible to make a picture with 200mm focal lenght and 100m distance, crop over 90% of the image and get an sharp result.
You should go closer as possible.
Let me show you something.
ILCE A7R cropmode 1,6 on (near the same image section like with the a6000)
ISO 400
F/4
Shutter speed: 1/1250 sec
Focal length: 200mm
Lens: Sony FE 70-200mm F/4
Tripod: no tripod, freehand
Flash: no flash
Distance to the bird: 5 meter
Thanks, my expectations for the lens are too high, I have had it for nearly 2 years and get good results from closer. I should perhaps have bought a different camera but have spent a lot of money on this system and will have to make do unless there are any longer lenses I could fit on the a6000.
Best regards Ian
It is posible to conect othe rlenses to the sony system. There is an adapter from commlite E-Mount to EF for 50$.
With the adapte rit is possible to use the Tamron or Sigma 150-600mm on your cam. But a tripod an a gimble are absolutely neccesary. The lenses are big guys and they are heavy. As i know there are no other lenses from Sony with higher focal length.
