Remote control for AG9 series has got upgraded and it looks very nice.
Does anyone know if it is fully compatible with AF9 tv?

Ok, I took a plunge and bought AG9's remote control (RMF-TX600E) to use with my AF9 tv and here is my finding.
One missing button is APPS, which is to open the app drawer.
When in IR mode (right after putting AAA batteries in, without bluetooth pairing), all buttons are working, EXCEPT Voice Command button. Button Mapper app can be used to customise most of the buttons except Voice Command button.
After BT pairing, these buttons are not working;-
Info,
Menu (green button under 9),
Colour buttons,
Google Play,
Netflix,
Rec List,
Source Selection,
Action Menu (clock wheel),
Previous channel,
Audio,
Subtitle,
Help.
Voice Command is responded when pressed but doesn't take in command. I tried using Button Mapper app to map those keys but to no avail. It's as if the Button Mapper app can't customise buttons in BT mode.
However, remote control in BT mode is noticeably snappier than in IR.
Hope this info is useful. Please feel free to share your tips and advice if you know something that I haven't covered here.
Thanks!
Hi there,
I'm looking into this and will update the thread whenever I have an answer.

Hi jukbee,
I don't think the AG9 remote is officially compatible with the AF9. So it may work, but if it doesn't, I wouldn't be surprised.

Thanks, Sean. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi,
I'm also in the same position of using the AG9 remote on the AF9 TV however it only seems to work via IR.
Can you let people know how you successfully got it to connect via bluetooth?
The documented process to be to press volume down and the voice button - however that doesn't seem to do anything.
I've tried pairing via the specific voice menu as well as via scanning for new bluetooth devices in the bluetooth menu - both methods fail to detect any remote.
Is there a specific button press combination to get bluetooth pairing mode on the remote? The volume down and voice combination definitely does not work.
I didn't do anything special when pairing really. I just followed the on-screen instruction.
Have you updated the tv to the current firmware?
Maybe removing the battery from the remote and try pairing again?
Do you happen to remember what the on-screen instructions were?
For me they are to simply press sound down and the voice button - which definitely doesn't do anything at all on the new remote - I believe the top left hand corner has a LED which turns orange when pairing and this doesn't come on.
Yeah I've tried to replace the batteries and its just recently received the new Android TV firmware coincidentally - which was why I was trying again as originally it never worked.
Theres a few other forums (reddit) where people are similarly not having any success to pairing the new style remote to the A9F/AF9 or older generation TV's - and you're the only one who has posted any success.
I just unpaired the TX600E from AF9 tv and paired again without any problem.
Go to Settings >
Remotes&Accessories >
Bluetooth settings - try remove any connected device, switch Bluetooth off then on, then back to Remotes&Accessories

Connect via Bluetooth, and follow the on-screen instruction : press and hold VOL-, and press microphone button for 3 secs while holding down VOL-
