I have a CMT-S20B mini hifi (the one with both FM and DAB radio).
Every time I switch on the hifi, a DAB scan is performed which lasts about 1 minute.
This happens even if I have previously used the hifi with a DAB staion saved on one of the presets. Is there a way to stop this very annoying dab scan EVERY TIME I turn on the hifi?
Thanks.

I have experiencd the same, anyone know how to clear it, it's very annoying
I too have this problem straight out of the box. Sony support suggested the only answer was to do a factory reset but I am unable to do tha as the stop plus EQ buttons do absolutely nothing. Support promised to phone back but nothing happened. Going to take it back to Currys for a refund as I'm fed up with getting Absolute Rock every time I turn DAB on.
Very disappointed, not the quality I expected from Sony equipment
Same problem here. Tried complete reset to factory settings and still happens.
Can somoeone from Sony please respond!
I went back to shop (Currys) and the display model does not do this. If Sony can't fix it's a return for refund.
Hi all
Sorry for delays in replying - I have reported this issue to Sony for investigation. Any info recieved will be posted back to this thread.
Cheers
Hello all
Can anyone please confirm if this happens from Standby and not when the AC plug is pulled out or fully switched off?
Cheers
It makes no difference. From standby or power off; using the remote or
button on unit front; if you have previously completed the scan manually
or automatically; if you have set presets / clock / timer; regardless if
you were listening to DAB or a CD or ipod when you put it in standby -
when you turn it on it always goes immediately into the DAB scan and
tunes to whatever station it finds that is the first in the resulting
alphabetical list of found stations.

Any news on this? I can't take mine for refund as I'm (a) way out of warranty, and (b) I've cut and extended the speaker cables because they were way too small!
