Dropped Notebook can anyone help?

I have just stupidly dropped my VGN-Z11VN Notebook,:smileyangry: what a way to start the new year! Everything appears to work fine except the WIFI, I have jigged the manual switch back and forth a number of times re-booted switched off on etc. to no avail.

So I have removed the screws (Its out of warranty by the way 2 years old) from the rear and can not get to the offending switch mechanism, although it does feel like it is switching, I just think something has become dislodged and needs plugging back on (wishful thinking), the network connection works fine via cable so I am not stuck.

Any ideas guys and gals?

Thank you

Richie

Hey buddy, many thanks for your help, the diagram allowed me to identify where the suspect part was, it was no where near the dammned manual switch, after taking nearly all of the parts out including the DVD tray, almost the hard drive and the flimsy plastic trim that supports all the external lights, usb ports etc. I was losing faith and then if I had opened my eyes before removing all of those bits I would have seen the simple miniature (i think power) white plug was adrift, simply plugged it back on and then put all back together (only 1 screw left ooops), powered back up and she is like new again.

Once again, many thanks for your prompt kind assistance in pointing me in the direction.

I think I will stick to 3 phase electrical installatiions though, I was just lucky this time.

PS Are you a sony employed tech or what?
