text moving to main cursor

hi. when i type the text jumps from here to where the main cursor sits on the page making my text all jumbled up? can anyone help please? it started about three weeks ago!

Hi CG,

Can you check in Device Manager that, under mice and other pointing devices, you have a pointing device listed as opposed to a PS/2 mouse - if the latter you will need to install the correct driver. If you provide your model number we will be able to help further.

Also investigate the touchpad settings via Vaio Control Center and try turning off the tapping feature as accidental contact with the touchpad whilst typing can cause this problem.
