Trouble loading illustrator "error missing plugins"

Hi there,having a massive problem with my Illustrator (which worked perfectly two weeks ago) I keep getting "Error missing plugins".My pc has been doing an awful lot of updating recently could this be the problem? if so how do I go about retreiving the missing plugins?many thanks kix

Google shows that this is a very popular subject on the Adobe forums and possibly caused by a Microsoft Update.

What version of Illustrator/Creative Suite are you using.
