trying to reinstall xp

Hi i am trying to reinstall windows xp, on swithing on pc i press f10 but the menu for reinstalling does not appear. I  can see the recovery partition in my computer, but there is no option for me to reinstall xp.

any ideas??

Have you tried doing the recovery via the Vaio Recovery Centre.?

Click Start - All Programs - VAIO Recovery Centre.
