I deleted some photos carelessly a few days ago. Since i use the phone model is "Xperia S" which is use of interal storage hard disk
(not have SD card select), i have tried use some of recovery software (like CardRecovery, Pandora Recovery) but since Xperia S connect the PC via USB only have Media Transfer Mode (MTP), the aforesaid software cannot detect my phone as an external driver and hence cannot recover any files. Please help me to solve this problem.
not quite the new Xperias will come with micro SD card port. Xperia GX, SX, GO etc
@jamesta86 you can not
You can recover deleted files on the internal storage following these steps:
1. root Your phone. It is possible without unlocking the bootloader. Find out how on xda-developers.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2639022
2. install an APP which can switch from MTP to mass-storage mode like XPERIA SDCARD Mounter from Playstore.
3. connect Your phone to PC, switch to mass-storage mode and use Your favourite recovery tool to get back Your data.
Don't rely on those One Time Posters!
The only thing they do here is advertising and trying to sell theit Software.
There are lots of FREE solutions to recover Data.
You just have to change Your internal memory from MTP to Mass Storage mode (there are APPs that can do this on the store) so that Your phone will be mounted as removable storage on the PC and then use ANY FREE recovery software e.g. PC Inspector Smart Recovery or File Recovery to recover ANYTHING from internal memory.
I've tried a lot of data recovery tools, and found that most of them can only restore lost files from memory cards. A few data recovery tools claimed that they can retrieve deleted files from Sony smart phone's internal memory, but the recovery process is too complicated. So far, I still haven't successfully recovered lost files from Xperia's internal memory. I expect the people who have successfully undeleted the lost pictures or videos from Xperia’s internal memory to share they experiences, rather than to deceive users. Thank you.
i m facing same problem ,please help me out if anyone has any solution of it...thank you.
I was scrolling through photos today. Later when I tried to scroll through again I noticed some had vanished.
I've spent the last couple hours trying various recovery apps that I have downloaded and none work.
The photos are certainly on there as on app shows them but wants a lot of money which isn't something I can afford.
Can anyone recommend a free recovery app that actually works and why oh why oh why Sony, if the photos are kept in some folder in the phone, why do you not allow access?
Never getting another sony after this.
