Hi guys, that's my first post in this forum. I bought my Xperia Z3 in november of 2014. From the first day i boought it, i have experienced reboots of the phone several times. I have seen the post where you talk about this so, i wont repeat this but it is a problem in my phone too. The problem i want to talk about is an error thats appear in my cellphone each time i go to sleep and have a heavy application running in my xperia. When i wake up, sometimes appear the next message: Unfortunately, Clock has stopped working (clock is an example, it has happened to me with clock, whatsapp, phone... etc). My question is, do i have a broken smartphone? Is this happening to someone more than me? How can i solve this problem, some idea?
Thanking you in advance.
Yes, i use Clean Master but dont use it every morning and have it desactivated from prevent its action when i dont use it. However, i have just tried to boot my phone in safe mode and cant work with it. I mean, after booting it, it appears a screen for selecting the launcher (Xperia TM launcher or Simple Launcher), after selecting the Xperia TM Launcher appears the message: Unfortunately, Xperia TM Launcher has stopped and it happens everytime i select it so i cant get into the phone!!!! i will try removing all widgets but i think that it isnt a problem caused for the widgets..
P.S: Just confirmed, removing widgets does not solve the problem. I still cant booting it in safe mode because of the Xperia TM Launcher (it stops working each time i try to acces to it).
Actually at univ, will try it at home and tell you how does it progress. Thank you
Hi Desniar,
Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
You may want to perform a backup with PC Companion before you repair the device, or you will loose all of your data.
I have experienced the same issues but I do not run a task killer because they are counter intuitive on Android; they cause more problems than solve. I have had at least two instances where all apps will crash unless I restart the phone. I have also had the phone reboot itself whilst I am not using it; sometimes in my pocket, others when lying on the desk and I see the reboot screen. Strange thing is the sim pin code unlock does not present itself unlike a real reboot. Why does this happen? What's wrong with Sony?
Hi Dcwt2010,
Such an issue can be hard to pin point, however in most cases where apps crash and a handset restarts, this is generally related to a faulty SIM card, faulty SD card or a third party application downloaded that has caused issues with the Android platform, unfortunately it can be only one application that causes all the issues on the device.
I suggest you check the basics, SIM, SD card and remove any third party apps that you had downloaded closer to the time it started playing up.
If this fails, a software repair is your best bet to remove any unwanted corruption.
I hope this helps.
OK guys, im back again. I used the tool of PC companion that restore the smartphone and its supposed to repair it. 2 days after using it and without installing any third party app the google now app crashed and stopped working so... what is the problem now? I have a regular nano-sim and a Kingston (32 GB and class 10) SD card. What can be producing this error now? i had to reboot the phone and the problem dissapeared but... to be honest, didnt expect that 2 days after using the repairing tool of PC companion. I will notice you if this error (Unfortunately, X application has stopped) appear again.
Thank you.
