Do you by chance have any Task killers, anti virus or battery savers installed on the device? If you do these apps may be causing the data connection to terminate after a period of time.

Check the apps you installed. There are some apps that automatically turn on data or wifi and transmit data. You need to check permissions before you download. To figure out which app causes this on your phone, you will need to uninstall apps one by one and check the behaviour.
