Xperia U stuck on xperia logo

I have been reading about this problem online and nothing I do helps. My Xperia U wont power on. When I try turning it on the Sony logo shows, then the Xperia logo, then my provider, and then the phone reboots again. This goes on indefinitely. I know there is a repair option, or a factory reset or whatever it's called, but I have photos on the phone that I don't want to lose.

What are my options?

Hello,

I have a xperia U ST25i with the same problem. Stuck on startup between sony and  xperia logo, after that it restarts.

I downloaded the update service program. I have to choose my model, but Xperia U is not among the madels.

Is there an other model that I could choose?

You have to run SUS in compatibility mode with windows 7.

I have the same problem, mine Sony PC compinion cannot detect my phone. it only shows two things. Sony and Xperia logo in a loop.
