i have purchased xperia z2 in last Jan-15. after hitting on the surface my phone screen cracked now i take my ph to the customer support. they said we will charage 33 % cost to repair the screen on current MRP price of phone. i hav got confused, is that the way to repair the thing in mobile othrewise. sony should have give at least 6 month damage warrenty on Z2 & Z3 becouse they are expensive phone. otherwise they have to get fix the better screen as compare to apple iphone.

In some countries like here in the US, Sony USA has an extra damage warranty for 2 years, but that's up to each customer to buy it or not.
It's not a "cheat", some countries offer an extra protection package, but you have to contact your local Xperia care.
