Should I stay with Oreo on new XZ1C?

I will be receiving a new XZ1C in a few days, and hopefully it will be fully functional and running Android Oreo. To judge by the many problems that many have experienced after upgrading to Pie, I am wondering whether I should hold off and stay with Oreo for the time being. I would hope that Sony releases a better version of Oreo by the time it's made available to the USA. Comments?

After many updates and upgrade to Pie, and then a factory reset:

The only problems I encountered were that Chromecast frequently disconnected (unfortunate, since we often make use of it), and more importantly, it did not function reliably with my Subaru's Bluetooth. Since I need that function to be reliable for business reasons, I could not keep the phone. I will remain with my Xperia X Compact, which does not have Chromecast or Bluetooth problems.

However, the XZ1C did not demonstrate any WiFi, camera, cellular or Bluetooth problems (with connections other than the car).

Oreo is far superior

Well it does depend on each individual's preferences and usage. Whether we like it or not the whole world is constantly moving without any hesitation.

As in my case, I never use chromecast as I've a Rasberry Pi attached to my TV and XZ1C's Bluetooth is working perfectly with my Mazda and Nissan, so I'm quite happy having pie Smiling_Face

I asked Sony via chat. The response was RUBBISH. They ignored my asking why I had no Pie update, no security patch since September. I asked why the forum was full of complaints from those who did get the update. ABSOLUTE BYPASS OF AN ANSWER OF ANY KIND. STICK WITH OREO. BUY A BRAND WITH BACK UP.

My XZ1 after upgrade from Sony in this month still freeze. It is sad that Sony works So slow., probably Samsung would never wait that long. Anyway PIE is a Way much slower and worst than Oreo.

I was hoping taht after upgrade or some fixes it will work as i had Oreo, but No. Sony dont even want to admitt to this error.

I think this is my last celly from Sony.
